COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN
ANNOUNCMENT

  1. Any driver or passenger who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days must self-isolate at home; symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and new muscle aches or headache.

  2. Any driver or passenger under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate must follow those instructions.

  3. Any driver or passengers who has arrived from outside of Canada, or who is a contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.

  4. Drivers and passengers must follow good hygiene practices including regular hand washing and covering their mouth when they sneeze or cough. 

  5. Drivers may refuse passengers who exhibit symptoms of COVID-19. 

  6. No passengers will be allowed to travel in the front seats.

  7. Where more than one customer is to be picked up they should be from the same household or small social circle.

  8. Windows should be kept open as much as possible. 

  9. Drivers will be required to sanitize the passenger area between customers with a focus on frequently touched surfaces such as seats, arm rests, seat belts, window/lock buttons and barriers/windows. This should occur immediately after the passenger has left the vehicle. 

  10. Disinfecting products, such as wipes and hand sanitizer, will be available in all vehicles for the driver and passenger use.  Garbage bags will be made available within reach of the driver and passenger. 

  11. Vinyl (or other suitable material) barriers will be installed between the driver and passengers in a way that does not impact visibility or safety of the vehicle. These will be disinfected between customers. 

  12. Masks and face coverings will be optional for drivers and passengers.  

  13. Care for a Lift Services will monitor health authority and Worksafe BC guidance on their use and update our procedures and policies as needed. 

  14. For delivery services, where possible, drivers will drop packages at the door or outside buildings and avoid contact with customers.  Confirmation of delivery will be made by phone/text/email.  

  15. Any driver or passenger that has concerns about COVID-19 safety will be encouraged to contact Care For A Lift management.
