Medical Appointments
Do you have a specialist appointment in the Lower Mainland, or Hospital/Day surgery & other medical appointments on the Sunshine Coast? Care for a Lift Services Ltd has a way of getting you or your loved one there. Unlike taxis or volunteer drivers, Care for a Lift can accompany your loved one for the full duration of the appointment. We are skilled working with seniors with or without cognitive or physical challenges. We can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs and walkers. All drivers are covered by a $2,000,000.00 personal liability insurance. Safety is paramount; all drivers have current CPR training, clean driving abstract and criminal records. You can assure a caring, safe and reliable personal driving service.
Day Surgery Pickups
Are you having a medical procedure done at the Sechelt Hospital?
If so, you will likely be asked to have a designated person (other than a taxi) to pick you up after you come out of recovery.
If you're not able to get a ride from someone you know, book a ride with us in advance.
The hospital care staff will make arrangements to contact us when you’re ready to go home.
We will come directly to the outpatient waiting room to meet you.
We’ll drive you home and assist you to your front door making sure you are in your home safely.
Please go to our consultation form and indicate your appointment day & approximate pick up time in the Booking Details section. We will contact you by phone, within 24 hours, to confirm and complete the intake process.

Essential Visits at Long-Term Care Homes
Many families have been unable to see their loved ones, who are living in long term care homes due to the COVID pandemic. It has been causing loneliness creating hopelessness for those in LTC and their families.
For some, Essential Visits are now allowed to support their care and well-being.
Care for A Lift has been providing opportunities to reconnect in the safest ways. Our vehicles are outfitted with plexiglass barriers between the companion and passengers. Companions/Drivers and passengers are required to wear masks. Windows are open slightly to allow air flow and all touch spots are sanitized between clients ensuring your having a safe space for your trip. These visits are possible inside or outdoors. Weather permitting.

Special Events or Social Gatherings
Have a special event to go to? Perhaps it’s a grandchild’s wedding, special birthday party, dinner or family reunion. We know how important it is to have your loved one part of this memory building. Let CFAL get those needing a companion and transportation make this happen. Your loved one will be picked up, help get things ready to go & escort out to our vehicle. If needed, we will accompany you to ensure the most pleasurable experience.
Vacation Shuttles, Airport or Cruise line Drop-offs and Pick-ups
Let Care for a Lift get you to the Airport or Cruise ship, hassle free. Save on ferry and parking charges and leave the driving to us. Your luggage will be safe in our vehicles from your home until you arrive at the airport or Vancouver Cruise port and if needed, we will to porter them to your check in station for you. No more time restrictions like other bus services on the Coast. CFAL is available 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends and stat holidays.
